PROJECT 1.1: Collage (Physical)

Final Work for Physical Collage

Figure 1.4 - Final Composition for Physical Collage (For Project 1 Submission)

Concept: The idea started when I was listening to Everybody Dies by Billie Eilish. She highlighted that

"It's just a lot to think about the world I'm used to,
The one I can't get back, at least not for a while,
I sure have a knack for seeing life more like a child."

So I came up with the idea to highlight that in today's world, we can see people, especially on social media where there's an obvious presence and pressure that the only way to stay relevant in today's society is by thinking that it's a must for them to have these beautifully curated contents like pictures, videos, Instagram stories and so on, on their feeds. It's almost like a competition and that 'crown' collage above those two figures represents this idea.

It's a horrendous ideology that is creating this disparity among those who are and aren't active on social media.

However, at the end of the day, it all comes down to your value as a person and how you bring yourself together against any challenges and obstacles that we face in this world. To end this collage is by having the idea that at the end of the day "Everybody Dies" and that's the definite ending chapter for anyone in this world regardless of who or what status you hold in the physical world before you die (epilogue).
