Week 04 - Introduction to Photoshop 3
LECTURE
Introduction to Photoshop 3 taught us about the ways to do adjustments to
your layers and make use of the filters to enhance our design work than it
already is. There was a video provided for us as a tutorial on how these
features actually function and Sir Fauzi instructed us to try multiple
adjustments to our chosen and pre-approved pre-composition from last week
and submit the adjusted version for a review from him.
The Adjustment Layer is essentially a feature to control our Brightness,
Contrast, Level, Curves, Exposure, etc. Also, Filter is a feature that uses
Adobe's system graphics editor that enables us to change certain colours,
add a blurred effect or create an image with impressive effects. There're a
lot of other features to explore still but these are the main highlights of
the week.
TUTORIAL
During the tutorial session, we were given a set of videos as extra
materials for us to watch to expand our knowledge on this matter. So we took
the time provided to watch a couple of the videos before starting to work on
our own composition.
PRACTICAL
Before submitting our work in Google Classroom, we are tasked to use the
final digital collage and make adjustments with the adjustment layers
feature in Adobe Photoshop to tweak the overall collage before submitting
it in the Project 1 submission document. Below are the processes;
The first attempt was me trying out those features and also an adjustment
that was made heavily by Hue/Saturation that completely changes the colour
palette of the collage.

However, I only intend to make the chosen final composition of the digital
collage more vibrant because it looks a little flat without those
adjustments. So, I've decided to remove the Hue/Saturation adjustment and
focus on the others such as Levels, Curves and Color Balance.
