Week 06 - Project 2A: Photo Manipulation & Colourise (Black and White)
LECTURE
Since we have completed our previous project, this week onwards has become
more technical with Digital Photography. Content ranges from parts of the
camera to the functions of the camera such as the ISO, Shutter Speed and
Aperture settings. In addition, we were also made aware of the pros and cons
of using either a DSLR or a Smartphone.

TUTORIAL
During our tutorial session, we were briefed on Project 2: Digital Imaging
Exercises & Product Shooting. It comprises sub-projects such as Photo
Manipulation, Recolouring of a Black and White, Double Exposure and also
Conceptual Product Shoot.
Besides that, Sir Fauzi heavily briefed us on Project 2C: Conceptual
Product Photoshoot, where we are required to combine multiple images or
elements to create a new image, sort of like the first ever project we did
which was the Collage Design. However, the main difference that you could
see from this Project 2C is that we are required to do Motion Images by
using Adobe After Effects to animate them into an IG-Reels or Youtube Shorts
format.
PRACTICAL
Exercise 1: Photo Manipulation
Part 1: Hearst Mansion
We were given this task on Week 6 of the semester and expected to
manipulate this photo of a room and a character named Shazam and to
digitally collage them together as if it's seen as a single captured
photograph. A tutorial video is provided by the lecturer to serve as
guidance for this part of the project.

Part 2: My "Reflection"
The second task of this part is to capture our whole body self-portrait
from eye level and manipulate our image into the Hearst Mansion, following
the same steps as I did in Part 1 of this project.
