Project 01: Mobile Application Proposal

PROJECT 01: MOBILE APPLICATION PROPOSAL
We are required to create a proposal document for our mobile application
project to propose our idea on which existing mobile application we would like
to redesign that we need improvement in terms of the user experience or
interface design. It is subject to preliminary approval by our module
coordinator. The document will determine whether or not the mobile application
idea is good to continue to the next development phase

Outline:
Introduction
Introduce the purpose of the proposal.
Explain the importance of mobile application design and how it impacts user
experience.
Background and Context
Describe the existing mobile application and its current design.
Analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the current design.
Explain the user demographics and user needs of the application.
Goals and Objectives
Define the objectives of the redesign.
Identify the primary and secondary goals for the new design.
Explain how the new design will address user needs and improve user
experience.
User Research
Describe the user research methods you will use.
Explain how you will gather user feedback and insights.
Provide a plan for user testing and validation.
References
Include any references used for research and inspiration, such as articles,
books, or design examples.
TIMELINE
Week 02: Idea Proposal
Before we got started with the official project proposal, we were required to
prepare a rough idea proposal on our app of choice and its problems within the
application.
(The Google Slides embedded below are done very simply because everything was explained verbally to our lecturer in a one-to-one session.)
I got the approval to proceed with this application for me to redesign.
Week 04: Project Proposal
I utilised Canva to create the presentation slides, to create a more official
version of the project proposal. The file embedded will be the slides.
FEEDBACK
Task 01 - Project Proposal
The presentation is well made and is presented within the 5-minute timeframe. The only thing that I need to fix is the second point from the Secondary Goals slide, where I talked about the optimisation of the app's performance. My lecturer mentioned that I could remove that as it is not the designer's job in this case, to fix the optimisation. It could be misleading to the audience.
