Task 01: Thematic Interactive Website Proposal
INSTRUCTIONS
Task Brief
Thematic Interactive Website Proposal for Brand Engagement. A thematic
interactive website is a website that focuses on a specific theme or concept
to incorporate interactive elements to interact with users. Most such
websites utilize multimedia such as videos, animations, interactive graphics
displayed on the page, or other clickable elements which have interactive
components that provoke the user. This dynamic experience is meant to keep
the user interested in addition to the thematic concept. Themes in such
websites vary from educational, cultural, and promotional campaigns to
product launches. For example, a thematic interactive site could be a
museum. Users can go through a virtual exhibition space through interactive
tours, game simulations, or questionnaires. If it is a movie, the site can
simulate movie universes offering virtual tours through time and space, or
any other subject previously created in the movie. The aim of any such site
is to keep the user engaged in the medium through interactive exploration.
Deliverables
- Completed UI/UX proposal document.- All processes (concept, wireframes, mood board, flow chart)
have to be documented and posted in your E-portfolio as your
reflective studies.
- A video presentation or Class presentation (to be decided by
the module coordinator.
Task 01 - Thematic Interactive Website Proposal
In the first week of class, we are required to share our rough idea of how
we want our interactive website project to be with our lecturer. He will
give us his thoughts and opinion on it. After getting verbal approval of the
idea, we can then start drafting our UI/UX proposal that consists of
concept, wireframes, mood board, flow chart, etc. Drafting the blog and also
embedding necessary documents to showcase the full process are highly
recommended.
Theme: Singer releasing a single.
Brief Idea: Billie Eilish is campaigning to promote her latest single "You
Should See Me In A Crown".
There will be a list of pages that I intend to add to the project;
- Loading Page (Spiders)
- Landing Page (Crown animation around the screen)
On the crown -- (hoverable)
- Song preview
- Story/Narrative of the song
- Preview of the vinyl cover
- Images of the music video
The main idea of this website is to inform fans of Billie Eilish's latest
release via an interactive website. This offers an immersive experience to
the people who click on the website and discover such interactive features
upon clicking the website. Through images and hoverable descriptions, this
could be depicted as a form of storytelling. Billie has always been known
for her creative and symbolic art direction in her songs, lyrics, website,
album or song releases, etc. I would like to achieve that in a certain way
by doing this interactive website project in her name.

Reflection
I had so much fun creating this proposal deck because of the heavy interest I have in the singer Billie Eilish. So when one of the assignment briefs was to promote a band/singer/new release, I chose to do my project as if it were to promote Billie Eilish's new single. So this task has been great to make and hope that the manifestation of this idea would come to life in coming tasks.
