Task 03: Game Prototype
INSTRUCTIONS
TASK 03: GAME PROTOTYPE (Status: Completed)
Students were given the task of creating the prototype of their game. The
prototype doesn’t need to have the final art asset and the use of
greyboxing is allowed. The focus here is to quickly test the game mechanics and troubleshoot any technical difficulties discovered
during the development. The focus should be the MVP of your game.
This includes :
• Coding movements and actions
• Coding obstacles
• Coding game levels (Logic of the game)
Progression:
For the submission of Task 03: Game Prototype, we must showcase what we have done for our game development so far. Our lecturer mentioned that having the player's movement, background, and a couple of obstacles and also showcasing the different levels would work as well as anything else that we have at this point in time.
Asset Collection:
As mentioned in the video presentation below, my main showcasing for this submission is the player's movement and sprite, backgrounds, platformer sprite sheets, and the levels created so far. Below are my specific asset collection gathered up to this point in time. Some of them are new and are not listed in the Task 02 blog.

Reflection
I have confidence with what I have so far, It is time-consuming trying to debug a particular issue. Sometimes it can take 4 hours just to fix a small issue in the C# coding. However, I'm very much still hopeful of my progress and would like to take it day by day. I'm facing an issue where the scripts are not working for my different scenes as it has in my scene 01, and planning for enemy AI is quite challenging as well. I'm grateful that my friends and I are helping each other out with our progress along the way.
